As you drive down the long, winding, bumpy country road that leads to the Huelo Point Flower Farm, it's impossible to guess that at the end, you'll find Utopia. The otherworldly ambience of this spot is no wonder, considering owners Doug Self and Guy Fisher credit creative visualization with helping them find this place- the "land of their dreams". A dream come true is how most guests describe their stay, whether they stop at the farm's "wishing tree"- a palm tree said to grow on an energy line- or not.
First Impression:A private oasis. Four contemporary, sun-washed guesthouses nestled on a lushly landscaped estate.
Orchards you can stroll through and pick a breakfast of organic fruits- bananas, mango, papaya, and star fruit. Tropical gardens with flowers that include plumeria, heliconia, and orchids. The glass-walled Gazebo Cottage sits on a cliff edge, 300 feet above the crashing waves of Waipio Bay where dolphins and whales play. Equally stunning ocean views from the Guest House and Main House.
Telling Details: Guesthouses include floor-to-ceiling glass walls, private hot tubs on the cliff edge, and fireplaces. The ozone-purified 50-foot swimming pool has a waterfall. For the adventurous: a steep, muddy "trail" with ropes down to the ocean.
